Located in southeast Washington, the City of Walla Walla is a full-service city serving a population of 34,065 across 13.7 square miles. Incorporated in 1862, the City operates under the Council-Manager form of government with a 2024 budget of $151.6 million and approximately 300 full-time staff.  

THE WATER/WASTEWATER ENGINEER
Reporting to the Deputy Public Works Director, the Water/Wastewater Engineer operates within the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department. The Public Works Department operates with a 2024 budget of $55 million (not including grants) and a team of 86 FTEs. Divisions include administration, engineering, streets, stormwater, water (treatment and distribution), wastewater (treatment and collections), sanitation, and landfill. The City is looking for either a Civil Engineer II or III for this position.
