Mountain View Fire & Rescue in Auburn, WA is seeking a Finance Manager for this scenic region south of Seattle and east of Tacoma is known for its natural beauty, friendly small-town atmosphere, and spectacular views of Mount Rainier. Mountain View Fire & Rescue (MVFR) protects a population of 32,000 across 70 square miles that includes the City of Black Diamond, Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, and areas of unincorporated King County. 

MOUNTAIN VIEW FIRE & RESCUE

Governed by an elected 5-member Board of Commissioners, MVFR operates with a budget of $11.7 million and 45 FTEs, supplemented with volunteer personnel and supported by four chaplains. Staffing includes the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Finance Manager, Human Resources Specialist/Public Outreach Coordinator, Receptionist, Facilities Manager, and 39 career firefighters. Fire Chief Dawn Judkins has been serving in her position since 2023. 

THE FINANCE MANAGER

Under the direction of the Fire Chief or designee, the Finance Manager provides comprehensive financial management and administrative support to Mountain View Fire and Rescue. The Finance Manager will collaborate with the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Fire Commissioners, and other administrative staff to maintain the financial health and efficiency of the organization. This role involves overseeing financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits administration, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Finance Manager does not have direct supervisory responsibilities for other employees.
