THE CITY OF CHELAN

The City of Chelan operates under the Mayor-Council form of government, serving a population of 4,580 across 7 square miles with a 2025 operating budget of $23.1 million, a capital budget of $9.3M, and a team of 63 FTEs. Departments include Community Development, City Clerk, Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Parks & Recreation, Public Works, and Airport. The City is in an excellent financial position based on a strong and growing economy stimulated by tourism, agriculture, development and very positive retail/commercial activity.
