The City of Black Diamond is seeking a seasoned municipal financial manager to help the City achieve their goal of building new infrastructure and facilities in the next few years. This picturesque city of 6,500 is nestled in the forested foothills between Mount Rainier and Seattle. Black Diamond is known for its natural beauty, a warm and friendly small-town atmosphere, and spectacular views of majestic Mount Rainier.

Incorporated in 1959, the City of Black Diamond is a full-service municipality that is well-positioned to grow from 6,500 to 20,000 residents over the next 15 years, offering a mix of historical roots and modern planning principals. The City operates as a “Code City” with a strong Mayor form of government and a current budget of $43 million with 49.67 budgeted FTEs. The Finance Department operates with a current budget of $273,061 and a team of 6 FTEs.
